About the opportunity

  • You will contribute to the development, testing, and validation of cutting-edge technologies designed to shape the future of data centers through technical problem-solving, complex system analysis, and seamless system correlation.
  • Please consider that this is a 3-year Intel contract position operating under a hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between working on-site and off-site.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SoC-level power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization plans across Intel products.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to ensure power, thermal, and performance meet competitive targets and specifications.
  • Establish and execute methodologies for validating hardware and software optimizations and ensure alignment with business KPIs.
  • Perform SoC-level debug to identify root causes and resolve functional and triage failures related to power, thermal, and performance.
  • Configure and set up data loggers to collect and analyze thermal data, while developing and maintaining validation infrastructure including performance monitors and behavioral checkers.
  • Produce comprehensive validation reports summarizing activities and results, and communicate findings effectively to relevant teams.
  • Drive continuous improvements to validation strategies, methodologies, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SoC power and performance validation, Pre-Si simulation and emulation, and developing or optimizing power and performance KPIs.
  • 2+ years of experience in debugging SoC-level power, thermal, and performance failures, alongside knowledge of hardware and software optimizations.
  • Experience in silicon verification, test program development, and test plan execution.
  • Experience with the Python programming language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-effective communication, and documentation skills, with a willingness to work across multi-faceted groups.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD).
  • 2+ years of experience in SoC FPGA/emulation function and system-level debug.
  • 1+ year of experience in Pre-Si functional design, validation, and/or HW/FW/SW integration across major Pre-Si platforms.
  • Expertise in system-level power management of real-time processors and systems, and familiarity with MIPI MPHY, JTAG, DDR, PCIe, USB, ETHERNET, and SPMI bus protocols.
  • Knowledge of RTL language, in-circuit emulation, and FPGA fast prototyping.
