About the opportunity
- SGS is seeking an Associate Technical
Client Manager to act as a liaison between select major clients and the chemistry division laboratory.
- In this role, you will provide technical support, scope and prepare client proposals, coordinate project kickoff meetings, and serve as the voice of the customer within the lab.
- This is an hourly position offering a pay range of $29.00 - $36.00 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee project quotes, scoping, and proposal submittals in collaboration with sales, business development, and operations teams.
- Provide technical support, advice, and daily client interaction regarding project requirements before sample arrival.
- Coordinate client meetings, generate agendas and meeting minutes, and handle business-related customer complaints from inquiry to payment.
- Ensure all sample, documentation, and methodology issues are resolved prior to booking testing, and notify operations of incoming samples.
- Participate in client kickoff meetings for larger projects to facilitate handover to project managers once samples are in-house.
- Identify and pass significant new client opportunities to the business development group.
- Mentor and provide backup for Client Services Associates as needed.
- Comply with regulatory requirements to support GMP, GLP, and ISO standards where involved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry highly preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a scientist in a lab environment or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a customer or client contact position preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical development with an emphasis on CMC.
- Strong negotiation, communication, customer relation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and the capability to multitask to meet sample turn-around times.
