About the opportunity
Under the general guidance of the Sous Chef, the Staff Café Attendant plays an essential role in supporting our Heart of House by maintaining a welcoming, clean, and well-stocked team dining environment.
This role ensures our colleagues are cared for with the same level of attention, warmth, and quality that defines our brand.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and maintain team member cafeteria with attention to cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
- Ensure food stations are fully stocked, replenished, and presented in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, service stations, and equipment.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and supplies.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, and support basic food preparation and service as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs while providing a warm, friendly, and professional experience for all team members.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, remaining calm and alert during emergency situations.
- Perform lateral service and various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service, cafeteria, or hospitality environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive, service-driven attitude and basic understanding of food safety standards.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand or walk for a minimum eight-hour shift.
- Ability to twist, push or pull, reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to work inside and outside at all times of the year based upon business volumes.
