About the opportunity
Dandy is hiring an experienced Controls Technician to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company.
In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and functionality of automation equipment controls and other controls systems as needed.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with custom, cutting-edge automation technology in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work with automation engineers to create and implement programs and processes to optimize equipment efficiency
- Manage and perform equipment calibration, repairs, preventive maintenance, and testing
- Perform basic programming and installation of new and existing software required for equipment operations
- Work within the SCADA system and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Significant experience as a controls technician or engineer
- Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for multiple hours per day
- Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns
- A self-driven individual with a desire and ability to work under minimal supervision
- A curious mind with a need to investigate and resolve issues and improvement opportunities
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in a maintenance or controls role
