About the opportunity
The Forward Deployment Engineer, Reporting Pro helps customers correctly adopt DeepHealth's Reporting Pro.
This individual contributor role combines radiology reporting depth, clinical workflow knowledge, and customer communication to design solution configurations, build report templates and structured content with radiologists, coach implementation teams, and resolve complex technical issues.
Operating within DeepHealth's Forward Deployment Engineering function and reporting to the Service Engineering Lead, Enterprise Intelligence, the role bridges Technical Delivery Manager, Product, Service, and Solution Delivery teams.
It also drives the AI adoption strategy for Reporting Pro, configuring and deploying AI-enabled reporting workflows as they are released.
Key responsibilities
- Own technical solution design and configuration of Reporting Pro, mapping workflows to templates, macros, structured reporting, speech recognition, sign-off rules, and critical results.
- Lead technical discovery covering reporting workflows, legacy systems, HL7 order and result flows, RIS/EHR distribution, and security requirements.
- Build and validate report templates and structured content with radiologists, and plan legacy system migrations.
- Train implementation teams and customer administrators, publishing deployment playbooks and configuration standards.
- Serve as the customer-facing technical lead during go-lives, hypercare, and L3 escalations for reporting issues, spending roughly 20-30% of time on issue resolution.
- Convert recurring customer needs into standardized product workflows and manage defect escalations with engineering.
- Support site reliability by monitoring service health, participating in incident response, and validating releases and hotfixes.
- Drive AI adoption strategy, defining requirements and deploying AI-assisted report drafting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of overall experience in healthcare IT, medical imaging, or clinical systems.
- 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role for radiology reporting systems like PowerScribe or Fluency, such as administrator, consultant, or implementation engineer.
- Working knowledge of HL7 v2 (ADT, ORM, ORU) and report distribution to RIS and EHR.
- Hands-on configuration experience with report templates, macros, structured reporting, and speech recognition, including at least one go-live or migration.
- Strong understanding of radiology clinical workflow including worklists, dictation, and critical results communication.
- Working knowledge of cloud-hosted applications (GCP, AWS, Azure), storage, networking, SSO, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical decisions to radiologists, IT leaders, and executives.
Nice to have
- Imaging informatics or clinical credential such as CIIP, PARCA, or ARRT(R).
- Experience with AI-assisted or LLM-based report generation in radiology.
- Working knowledge of DICOM and PACS integration.
- Experience in a regulated medical device environment (FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
Salary Range
- $125,000.00 - $145,000.00
- Location: Remote (United States)
