About the opportunity
Fairmont Olympic invites you to join the world of luxury hospitality as our new full-time George Restaurant Food Expeditor.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences at the George.
Key responsibilities
- Daily set-up and tear-down of the expeditor station while keeping it organized at all times.
- Act as a liaison between the Front-of-House and the Culinary team, knowing all components and presentations of each dish.
- Adjust final presentation and garnish as per spec, and communicate allergies, dietary preferences, and VIP guests to the Culinary team.
- Ensure orders are correct, sent to the correct table, and run food alongside the food-runner as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness to standards, keep records of daily fridge temperature logs, and maintain stock and organization of all FOH coolers.
- Refill condiments, fill out AM requisition sheets for produce and dry goods as per established par, and pick up requisitions from the storeroom.
- Keep counts of low-stock items, update colleagues and the POS system, and assist Server Assistants in between peak times as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ability to work well in a high-volume pressure environment with excellent communication skills.
- Previous Food and Beverage or Hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remain calm and courteous, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Self-driven, passionate, and able to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must hold valid authorization to work in the US.
- Food Handlers Card required.
