About the opportunity
- The Housekeeping Manager will ensure and exceed luxury housekeeping standards at Fairmont Orchid by working with the Assistant Director to recruit talent, provide superior training, and consistently uphold quality standards.
- This role requires a passion for people and a commitment to ensuring the highest satisfaction levels for both guests and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Upholding brand LQA standards of the department and reviewing audits to implement service improvements.
- Managing all housekeeping colleagues including interviewing, retention, training, coaching, discipline, and maintaining performance logs.
- Conducting continuous inspections of all areas to ensure quality standards and SOPs are met, while managing expenses, labor, and resources.
- Assisting in administrative duties such as payroll and scheduling, overseeing inventory, and maintaining PAR levels.
- Owning guest complaints, guaranteeing 100% quality for VIP and Site Visit rooms, and assisting leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships, lead by example, and foster a strong team culture for high performance.
- Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, detailed, service-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Operational knowledge and proficiency in Property Management System (Opera) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages (ʻOlelo Hawaiʻi/Ilocano/Tagalog).
Salary Range
- $65,000 - $75,000 USD
Visa Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
