About the opportunity
- We are seeking an Overnight Front Desk Agent to join our team at Raffles.
- In this role, you will welcome and register guests, process financial transactions, manage room blocking, and coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services to fulfill guest requests during overnight shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Check in and check out guests according to Raffles standards, manage transactions, process payments, refunds, petty cash, receipts, and currency exchange.
- Monitor and solve open folios daily, maintain and balance bank float each shift, and assist with the overnight audit and reporting.
- Communicate efficiently via radios, phone calls, emails, and text messages while coordinating with hotel staff using Alice and OPERA.
- Handle guest issues, monitor VIPs and special requests, offer room upsells, and assist with crafting the morning report.
- Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor while upholding high standards of lobby and front desk appearance and personal grooming.
- Attend departmental meetings and trainings, cross-train in other hotel areas, and maintain confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with OPERA preferred.
- Ability to use various computer programs including MS Office Suite.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remain calm and courteous, and handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
- Availability for flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand during the entire shift and exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
