We are seeking a Project Controls Engineer (PCE) for the Project Controls Group (PCG) organization supporting Ohio FCS projects.
Key responsibilities
- Cost reporting, including commitment approval and tracking at the detailed WBS level.
- Lead monthly project forecast development, funding requests, and reporting.
- Enforce project controls incorporating schedule, productivity, and Earned Value.
- Drive cost reduction strategies, cash savings opportunities, and process improvements.
- Present financial updates and provide counsel to project and senior management.
- Lead and consolidate project close and POR financial plan of record submissions.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards, local and corporate policies, and reporting integrity.
- Manage change control processes to ensure scope deviations are assessed and documented.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Capital, OpEx/Spending, and FP&A.
- Ability to develop and model complex financials and make recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills to present trends and insights to senior management.
- Champion and value the safety culture of caring throughout the project lifecycle.
Nice to have
- Experience with cost reporting and project management software, P6, and MS Excel expertise.
- Proficiency in Power BI, MS Teams, and Finance Systems and Software.
- Master's degree or MBA with 6+ years of relevant experience in Construction Project Controls, Capital, OpEx/Spending, and FP&A.
