Job Description

SGS auditors have the industry and business expertise to perform food audits against chosen criteria and code of practice.
As the Senior Food Safety Auditor , you will perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and requirements of one or more applicable standards (i.e.
FSSC22000, SQF, BRC ).
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 2 years in Quality, Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) or production.
- Successful completion of Lead Auditor training (minimum 3 days) based on ISO 19011.
- HACCP training (minimum 2 days), minimum 2 hours each food fraud and food defense session OR PCQI human food and Scheme specific training e.g., BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 training, including a minimum 2-day auditor course.
- Travels up to 80% of the time - automobile / airplane, some travel might be international with flight time 8+ hours depending on the destination. Weekend travel may be necessary to meet utilization requirements.
- Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Strong background and knowledge of technical applications of the standards
Language Skills
- Advanced proficiency in English and either Spanish or French is highly preferred.
Compensation
- The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000 annually.
- This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
- Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
