About the opportunity
Launch Potato is looking for a hands-on Partnerships and Business Development expert to grow our banking, deposits, and investing partners, and bring on new ones.
Roughly 70 to 80 percent of the role is growing existing partners through bigger budgets, better economics, and broader distribution.
The rest is focused on net new partners, utilizing warm relationships and real outreach on the investing side.
You will work alongside our Head of Partnerships, running operations on our largest strategic partners while fully owning the strategy and operations for the rest of the banking, deposits, and investing categories.
Base Salary
- $150,000 to $170,000, set by level and expertise based on initial interviews.
Compensation Type
- Annual bonus based on company EBITDA plus personal performance (no commission).
- Location: Remote-first team across 18 countries with a South Florida HQ.
Key responsibilities
- Drive budget growth, better unit economics, broader product coverage, and a larger share of wallet with owned partners.
- Run operations on our largest strategic banking partners alongside the Head of Partnerships.
- Manage partner operations from onboarding through campaign management, reporting, issue resolution, and optimization.
- Create proposals connecting partner goals to placements, audiences, and distribution across FinanceBuzz and our publisher network.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, partner updates, and next steps.
- Build a pipeline across banking, deposits, investing, and wealth to reach decision-makers through relationships, referrals, events, and outbound.
- Lead partner conversations from first outreach through pitch, deal negotiation, contracting, and launch.
- Represent Launch Potato at industry events and partner meetings.
Qualifications
- Direct experience on the advertiser side of a financial comparison publisher, marketplace, or performance network, managing bank, deposit, or investing partners.
- A proven record of growing accounts rather than just servicing them.
- Strong sales DNA with the ability to open doors, close, and execute cold outreach, especially to investing apps.
- Ownership of details including URL approvals, budget changes, CPA moves, and placement or widget coordination.
- Ability to figure things out independently and coordinate account management, product, media, analytics, compliance, legal, and finance teams.
- Fluency in performance economics including CPA, CPL, CPC, and revenue share, with strong business acumen for negotiations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills across multiple partners and opportunities simultaneously.

- Publisher experience, or enough familiarity to hold the conversation.
- Experience in wealth management, financial advisory, RIAs, or advisor networks.
- Existing relationships with banks, fintech companies, investment platforms, or related financial-services companies.
- Experience selling customer acquisition, media, lead generation, or performance-based marketing.
