About the opportunity
Nearform is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Software Engineer to design and build intelligent digital solutions for ambitious enterprises.
In this role, you will work closely with clients to translate complex business requirements into secure, high-performance applications using React and Python.
This is a remote position based in the United States for candidates authorized to work without sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. The position requires traveling to client sites within the U.S., with travel expenses covered by the company.
Key responsibilities
- Support component design, development, and maintenance while taking responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team.
- Assist with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building, and deployment.
- Design and implement data storage solutions and optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Gather feedback from users and clients to build tailored solutions.
- Assist with the analysis of client requirements and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with distributed client teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial software engineering experience, delivering at a senior level.
- Deep knowledge and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including React.
- Experience with Python backend development.
- Experience with AI-native development practices, tools, AI and agentic workflows, and emerging LLM technologies.
- Practical experience delivering in an agile environment and developing real-world solutions.
- Deep understanding of version control tools such as Git, as well as testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Practical experience working with databases and cloud environments.
- Experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews.
- Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI application development and Agentic frameworks and platforms such as LangGraph and Agentspace.
