NVIDIA
Opportunity published from Workday · applications stay with the original hiring source.
About the opportunity
NVIDIA is building a platform for autonomous agents to operate safely inside the enterprise at scale on shared accelerated compute.
This role defines agent blueprints, tools, skills, plugins, runtime safety harnesses, and integrations for credentials, sandboxes, memory, and observability.
The platform standardizes execution across harnesses like Claude, Codex, and open-source models, enabling continuous, secure, and self-improving multi-agent workflows. Teams across engineering, finance, legal, and HR depend on this infrastructure for production workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Design agent blueprints with clean interfaces for authorization, sandboxes, memory, observability, and skills.
- Build the runtime safety harness featuring policy engines, rate and budget caps, circuit breakers, approval gates, allow-lists, and kill switches.
- Enable multi-agent orchestration for composition, delegation, handoff, and headless long-running execution.
- Broker credentials to allow secure authentication and authorization with least-privilege scoping.
- Provide checkpoint and recovery mechanisms for clean restarts after crashes.
- Instrument harnesses for observability and evaluation, including decision-level traces, cost anomaly alerts, and quality scoring.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain production health and reliability.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years of experience building distributed systems, infrastructure, or developer platforms at scale
- Hands-on experience building agents on a harness, exposing them as APIs, and shipping them via CI/CD
- Experience deploying and operating long-running services on container orchestration platforms
- Experience with scalable system building blocks including messaging, caching, and durable storage
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or similar languages
Nice to have
- Built safety or policy engines enforcing runtime agent action rules with approval gates and kill switches
- Designed evaluation and feedback loops for agent behavior tied to versioned skills or blueprints
- Applied security fundamentals including threat modeling, authentication, authorization, least privilege, and secrets management
- Designed AI data platform components such as ingestion pipelines, vector stores, and retrieval APIs
- Shipped platform building blocks adopted by multiple engineering teams and led complex technical projects
Benefits
- Base salary range of 224,000 USD to 356,500 USD for Level 5
