About the opportunity

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Datacenter Systems Architect to join our System Engineering Team and craft the blueprints for next-generation NVIDIA GPU-based AI Supercomputing Datacenters.

In this role, you will play a key part in defining and driving tradeoffs in high-performance datacenter design, focusing on power, cooling, and layout.

You will collaborate closely with system engineering, leadership, technical program managers, and leading technical specialists to build designs for production clusters and reference blueprints.

As an integral member of a global collaborative team, you will help define the next era of computing by shaping the infrastructure that powers AI, robotics, and self-driving cars.

Key responsibilities

  • Help create and deploy NVIDIA's reference AI Super Computer datacenter designs.
  • Define key engineering requirements and specifications to drive collaboration with system leads, customer requirements and engagements, marketing, and application engineers.
  • Provide requirements, engineering responses, feasibility analysis, present options, and ensure datacenter designs meet the optimal balance of performance, quality, scalability, re-use, reliability, cost, and time-to-market.
  • Document designs and plans to encourage collaboration with other design teams and serve as a reference for future deployments.
  • Provide status updates and communicate issues internally while offering recommendations to help resolve tough trade-offs.

Qualifications

  • BS (Master's preferred) in Applied Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of overall experience.
  • Technical knowledge of datacenter design and familiarity with power and cooling technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant datacenter industry partners, OEM and ODM, vendors, and competitors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working closely with key architects and datacenter deployment teams to align on product requirements.
  • Team-oriented with a can-do attitude and high enthusiasm for solving multi-disciplinary challenges.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5 (determined by location, experience, and peer pay).
  • Eligibility for equity.
