About the opportunity
Web Summit is seeking a fiercely driven, high-achieving, and results-focused producer to join the Speakers team.
Your mission is to win the world's most sought-after talent for our flagship events by owning your pipeline of A-list targets and closing them yourself.
You will also serve as the operational backbone of our wider talent effort to ensure no opportunity with a key name is missed.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage a pipeline of high-profile, A-list talent from first outreach through to confirmation, including negotiating terms and securing participation.
- Identify and develop relationships with A-list speakers directly, as well as with key gatekeepers, talent representatives, and decision-makers globally.
- Oversee the team's A-list talent pipeline by driving accountability, monitoring progress, and reporting on performance, conversion rates, and forecasts.
- Identify and prioritize high-value talent opportunities through market intelligence, industry trends, and event alignment.
- Collaborate with Web Summit leadership, internal teams, and external partners to align talent acquisition priorities and maximize opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure a seamless experience for confirmed high-profile talent, covering logistics, preparation, and on-site delivery.
Qualifications
- Relentlessly determined, with a proven track record of achievement and a drive to succeed through challenges.
- Strong network and track record of closing high-profile deals, with talent acquisition, business development, or relationship management experience.
- Existing relationships with agents, managers, or publicists, or a proven ability to build them quickly with senior figures.
- Deep knowledge of the technology landscape, including AI, semiconductors, venture capital, and rising founders and operators.
- Exceptional discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive, high-profile, and politically charged figures.
- Highly organized approach to keeping multiple pipelines moving with clean data and strict follow-up.
- Persuasive, polished written and spoken communication with the confidence to chase world-class talent.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
