About the opportunity
- Fairmont Kea Lani is seeking a Server for our lobby lounge, Pilina.
As a hospitality ambassador, you will connect guests to delectable cuisine inspired by our diverse culture and island home, showcasing our passion through detailed knowledge, colorful descriptions, and impeccable service to turn moments into memories.
Key responsibilities
- Confirm station assignments and complete daily opening checklists and assigned duties.
- Follow the Fairmont Kea Lani sequence of service, including welcoming guests, introducing the venue with approved verbiage, setting tables with glassware, taking and inputting orders into the POS, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
- Bring passion to the guest experience and actively look for ways to emotionally engage with guests while maintaining an aloha spirit.
- Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
- Adhere to State of Hawaii Department of Health and EHC food handling safety standards.
- Organize time efficiently to complete all side work according to shift demand.
Qualifications
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training.
- Minimum two (2) years serving experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
- Ability to provide TB Clearance, Maui County Liquor Card, and Food Safety or ServSafe Certification within 48 hours of an employment offer.
Nice to have
- Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge.
- Previous experience in a 4 diamond hotel environment.
Hourly Rate
- Schedule: Varies, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate hotel business demands.
Work Authorization
Candidates must possess identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). This position does not offer sponsorship of work visas.
