About the opportunity
As a Software Application Development Engineer at Intel Foundry, you will design and deliver innovative software solutions tailored for advanced factory automation systems and manufacturing processes.
You will develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications to optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Operating within the IFA DAP UI and GenAI Platforms team, your work directly supports Intel's semiconductor manufacturing capabilities and technological innovation.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge processes, automation solutions, and data-driven technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and test software applications for manufacturing systems using modern programming languages and secure development practices.
- Design, prototype, and optimize automation solutions to improve factory performance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system specifications, and implement scalable solutions.
- Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Automate build and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and advanced development tools.
- Support post-deployment systems, troubleshoot technical challenges, and update documentation as needed.
- Utilize innovative technologies, including Agentic AI and GenAI platforms, to enhance automation and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; OR a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in 2+ object-oriented programming languages such as C#/.NET and Python (including numpy, pandas, Langchain, Langgraph), as well as Angular or React.
- Experience with modern development tools like Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and Jira.
- Experience with database technologies, including Microsoft, Oracle (SQL), or VectorDB.
- 1+ years of experience with container solutions like Kubernetes and Docker.
Nice to have
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes and factory automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with React, Angular, and Python.
- Experience in deploying scalable cloud-based architecture and machine learning models.
