As a Junior Software Engineer, you will develop high-quality, mission-critical software in a collaborative, AI-first engineering environment.
You will leverage modern frameworks, tools, intelligent tooling, code generation, and data-driven decision-making to bring new solutions to public safety and leave a positive impact on the world.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in code reviews and architecture design meetings, incorporating AI-assisted insights and tooling
- Own and drive end-to-end features with Product and Design, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and improve quality
- Ensure that code hits a high bar for quality and performance, including validating AI-generated code outputs
- Work in an AI-first environment where developer productivity is augmented through copilots, automation, and intelligent systems
- Collaborate with like-minded team members who are passionate about the Axon mission
- Work with the latest open source technologies and AI-enabled development platforms
- Receive mentorship from experienced engineers on traditional and AI-assisted software engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, OR 2+ years of relevant experience, OR coding boot camp
- Professional software development internship
- Experience in at least one managed language such as Java, Scala, Go, C# or similar
- Familiarity with or interest in AI-assisted development tools, code generation, and automation workflows
- Interest in the latest software engineering trends, including emerging AI-driven development practices

Job details
- Location: Seattle, WA; Scottsdale, AZ; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA
Base Pay Range
$106,500 — $170,400 USD
- Additional conditions: Some roles may require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment. Total compensation includes base pay, bonus, and stock awards.
