About the opportunity
The Foundry Capacity Optimization (FCO) and Strategic Planning organization is seeking a visionary, high-impact Grade 10 Strategic / Development Industrial Engineer to lead the next era of operational transformation across planning and capacity ecosystems.
Reporting directly to the VP/GM of Foundry Capacity Optimization, you will partner with Staff Area Managers, Principal Engineers, and senior stakeholders to architect and execute a multi-year digital and operational transformation roadmap.
Your charter is to radically increase the strategic impact, velocity, and analytical depth of the organization without expanding headcount by eliminating manual data manipulation, disparate spreadsheet modeling, and repetitive reconciliation.
This enables FCO engineers to focus on solving high-value, complex semiconductor capacity and customer delivery challenges.
Key responsibilities

- Spearhead the adoption of modern Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies to automate complex decision-support pipelines and scenario modeling.
- Eliminate manual mapping, transformation, and reconciliation of disparate fab, demand, and tool datasets to establish a single source of truth.
- Benchmark peer semiconductor foundries and adjacent hyper-capital-intensive industries for state-of-the-art planning systems and operational efficiency methodologies.
- Function as a trusted technical advisor, driving operational change management, standardization of workflows, and mentorship across the broader engineering cohort.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years with a Master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD in a relevant domain.
- Proficiency with data analysis and automation tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, or business intelligence platforms.
- Experience developing capacity models, facility layouts, or manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, production systems, factory operations, forecasting methodologies, and statistical techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience within high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor foundry operations, or complex wafer fab supply chains.
- Familiarity with commercial supply chain and capacity planning suites such as Kinaxis, Anaplan, SAP IBP, and Blue Yonder.
- Experience engaging with and directing external technology vendors, systems integrators, and management consultants.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Design for Excellence, or Business Process Re-engineering.
Benefits
- Competitive pay and stock bonuses.
- Comprehensive health, retirement, and vacation benefit programs.
