Join Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS) in building the world's largest semiconductor manufacturing factories globally.
The FCS portfolio delivers billions of dollars in construction projects, including New Wafer Fabrication factories, Fab Conversions, Process Tools Install, Infrastructure, and Progressive Build.
This is an on-site position located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, reporting to the Director of Construction.
The Tool Install Manager will lead the planning and execution of complex semiconductor tool installation programs with annual expenditures ranging from 100M to 1B USD, managing contractor workforces of 100 to 1,000 contingent workers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex tool installation, conversion, and de-installation programs from design through execution.
- Serve as the site expert for Tool Install Design in partnership with Tool Install Construction Engineering, Technology Development, and site execution teams.
- Drive project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational performance across capital and expense projects.
- Develop and maintain world-class supplier and contractor partnerships while driving continuous improvements in safety and cost efficiency.
- Drive Optimized Cycle Flow, Lean principles, and Theory of Constraints methodologies to maximize throughput and ramp efficiency.
- Promote Intel's Culture of Care, uphold the highest safety standards, and foster an inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of demonstrated strategic leadership or program management experience in large-scale construction, semiconductor tool installation, or qualification programs in lieu of a degree, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of leadership experience in Tool Install Management, Design Management, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Module Management.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills across matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability to drive change, strategic thinking, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills using structured methodologies and constraint management principles.
- Flexibility to travel or relocate as business needs require.
Nice to have
- MBA or PhD with expertise in Program Management and Tool Install or Qualification ramp execution.
- Experience in construction project lifecycle.
- Experience in semiconductor facility systems and operations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience leading semiconductor factory tool installation ramps.
