About the opportunity
Sardine is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical UAT Analyst to evaluate complex systems, develop and execute test plans, and ensure the quality and performance of software applications.
You will become a product expert, working closely with customers, product owners, and engineering teams to test, troubleshoot, and support product development across our API-driven platform.
This is a remote-first role based in the United States. Pay is based on location, and candidates must maintain a home base within the country.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, and product owners to understand user requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for Sardine’s product, including our dashboard, APIs, and mobile SDKs.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers to ensure they are resolved before release.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Sardine to effectively predict, test, and prevent product issues.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects or system failures to identify underlying issues affecting application performance or stability.
- Maintain documentation of test cases, test scripts, test results, and quality assurance reports in accordance with QA standards.
- Provide technical support during release management cycles and assist in troubleshooting deployment issues within cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a user acceptance or functional testing role at banks or fintechs.
- Experience supporting B2B SaaS products and/or working with banking infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency with SQL, including joins and queries across multiple tables.
- Understanding of REST APIs and use of tools like Postman.
- Ability to write Eval for AI Products and structured test plans with step-by-step manual test scripts.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in high-pressure situations.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies including functional, performance, automation, API, and user acceptance testing.
