About the opportunity
Dandy is seeking an accomplished leader to own the entire global Accounting and Treasury function within our Finance organization.
This role will serve as the primary accounting partner to the C-suite as we scale internationally and prepare for IPO, leading the build-out of a scalable accounting team for a rapidly growing, complex operating business.
You will drive financial systems, reporting, planning, cash management, and accounting policy while preparing our processes for public company standards.
The ideal candidate must be hands-on, excited to roll up their sleeves, and ready to lead a global team across the US and LATAM.
Key responsibilities
- Own financial reporting end to end, including close, consolidation, account reconciliation, and moving the monthly close from ~7+ days to 3-4 days.
- Lead the shift from annual to quarterly reporting, delivering consistent quarterly closes and SEC-ready disclosures such as segments and EPS.
- Own the relationship with our Big 4 auditor and lead SOX readiness, including control gap assessments, remediation, segregation of duties, and access controls.
- Write and maintain formal accounting policies and technical accounting memos for revenue recognition, leases under ASC 842, stock comp, and complex instruments.
- Act as the primary accounting stakeholder for international expansion across Europe, LATAM, and APAC, partnering with Tax on transfer pricing, VAT, and indirect tax.
- Partner with Operations and FP&A on cost accounting for our labs, inventory, cost cards, labor allocation, and fixed assets for the scanner fleet and manufacturing equipment.
- Own the NetSuite-centered accounting systems roadmap, integrating billing, Stripe, Avalara, HRIS/payroll, and procure-to-pay tools while leveraging AI for automation.
- Lead, develop, and grow a global accounting, AP, AR/billing, payroll, and treasury team across the US and LATAM.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of accounting experience, including senior accounting leadership at a high-growth, operationally complex company.
- Big 4 audit background.
- Hands-on experience preparing a company for IPO readiness or operating as a public company, covering SOX, SEC reporting, and quarterly closes.
- Experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or hardware-plus-services business, including inventory and cost accounting.
- Proven track record of building scalable accounting systems and processes, combined with multi-entity and international consolidation experience including transfer pricing and FX.
- Expert proficiency in NetSuite and Excel/Google Sheets, with comfort using AI for process automation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to build trust with executives, auditors, and peers.
Nice to have
- CPA and/or advanced degree.
- Experience at a tech or high-growth company combining manufacturing or hardware with software.
- Experience implementing or remediating ERP, procure-to-pay, or HRIS systems.
- Experience with purchase price allocations and integrating acquisitions.
