Design and build backend services that support the full credit journey — origination, analysis, disbursement, and repayment — with a focus on customer experience.
Contribute to risk-aware system design: model edge cases, reason about failure modes, and build controls that protect customers and the business.
Write production-grade Java/Spring services on AWS, with a strong emphasis on observability, fault tolerance, and security. Participate actively in technical decisions — architecture reviews, RFCs, incident retrospectives — and influence how the team solves hard problems.
Collaborate closely with product, data, and risk teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable, maintainable software.
Mentor peers through code reviews and technical discussions, raising the bar without gatekeeping.
Strong backend engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in Java and Spring (Boot, MVC, Security, Data).
Solid AWS experience — you've designed and operated distributed services in the cloud, not just deployed to it. A structured approach to problem analysis: you don't just solve the ticket — you understand the system, the tradeoff, and the downstream risk.
Comfort operating autonomously: you drive tasks to completion, surface blockers early, and don't need someone to define the next step for you.
Clear, direct communication — you can explain a technical position to an engineer, a product manager, or a risk analyst without losing the substance.
Experience building systems where reliability and security are first-class concerns (financial services, payments, or regulated domains is a plus).
Experience in credit, lending, or financial products. Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar).
